I couldn't tell the difference between my imagination and memories. When I was very young, I almost had the opposite of aphantasia. I'm atheist currently but was raised Christian. I anticipate people with aphantasia to have a higher percentage of non-religious people for this reason. Supernatural things people have seen are all just in their heads and their ability to distinguish between reality and their own wild imagination is very weak. This has been a reenactment of the beginning and end of the flying lion-lizard-man religion.

APHANTASIA EIDETIC IMAGERY SKIN
Your skin will make a fine human leather blanket for my children and your skull a fine bowl for the stew I will make from your bones and meat.ĭude 2: smashes Dude 1's head in with a rock and harvests his body for resources

You're threatening me to get me to do what you want. You're just gonna have to take my word for it and do what I say or you'll regret it.ĭude 2: None of that makes any sense. You don't want to make him angry, believe me.ĭude 1: Big oof there. Like after you die you are going to burn in a fiery pit of torment for all eternity if you don't do everything I tell you to do.ĭude 2: Excuse the bang bang out of me? Are you threatening me?ĭude 1: No man it's not like that. You're not gonna believe it!ĭude 1: This giant flying lizard with the head of a person and legs like a lion appeared in a flash of light and told me everything I'm doing wrong in my life and how I need to change what everyone else is doing with their lives.ĭude 1: Yeah man. "Imagine" this scenario playing out thousands of years ago where a man claims to have seen a mystical creature talk to him and attempt to start a religion:ĭude 1: Hey bro, I just had this crazy thing happen to me. There's just no way this would all kick off. I am also convinced that none of these religions would be as powerful or widespread as they are if everyone had aphantasia. I'm now convinced all these people are actually just mentally seeing things they personally conjured up in their mind's eye. This is all just their imaginations running wild. They're not traveling to another plane of existence. that are not there and thinking their imaginings are real. Their imaginations are just running wild and they're seeing things, hearing things, etc. Since discovering Aphantasia I come to realize that all these people are just literally imagining things. When I did it I thought I just wasn't experienced enough or whatever because I didn't see shit. People would experience all sorts of things and talk about them. This chant is supposed to allow people's souls to travel to different planes of existence. Part of the practice was to engage in soul travel, which was accomplished by getting together and doing Hu chants. There is a religion that I was a part of as a kid that was founded by a former scientologist called Eckankar. I've never experienced any of the supernatural things other people claim to have experienced even when trying my hardest and believing as hard as I could. They could travel to other worlds with their spirit. Some people would claim to see angels, demons and gods. Since discovering I have aphantasia, my mind has been expanded on what actually was going on with everyone.

I've practiced various religions and listened to all sorts of people's claims of experiences with supernatural phenomena. Currently non-religious and have aphantasia.
